‘Stop walking the dog’ private training session

STOP WALKING THE DOG & START WORKING WITH YOUR DOG.

One – on – one private training session on the move.

Take your daily dog walk to the next level.
Location : Victoria Park

It’s highly likely that you are the most important person in your dog’s life. It’s also likely that ‘going out’ is the most important part of your dog’s day. I believe we should marry together those two constructs instead of separating them.

‘Walking the dog’ is probably your best opportunity to practice training, enrich your dog’s life, have a good time, build trust, work as a team & strengthen the bond & relationship between you and your dog.

It’s most likely the highlight of your dog’s day.

Particularly good for practicing loose-lead walking, self-control, interactive play & recall training. As always with particular focus on keeping calm (yet alert) while playing up to your dogs particular strengths and needs.

We will stay on the move in a continually changing real world environment (where most of the problems are).

On the walk we will chat (jargon free) about the body language of dogs and what they are saying, how to spot the difference between ‘good’ play & ‘bad’ play and of course how behaviour actually works (knowing just a few of the basic rules of behaviour will serve to make your life a lot easier when it comes to training).

One thing: you will need to have your dog wear a basic and well fitting flat collar but nothing that tightens when you pull it. If your dog usually wears a harness then both harness & collar will be fine.

Lead – Might I ask that you have a nice long (5 or 6 feet) lead that is comfortable for you to hold and with nothing attached to it (you know, those plastic poo-bag holders).

Extendable/retractable leads are not required at all.

Bring a tug-toy that your dog likes, some nice treats and if required, a long line (on that note, if you use a long-line then a harness is essential).
